Prayer Blog: Lifting Up Cross-Cultural Workers in Transition
Reflection:
Transitions can be difficult. Whether it is launching into a new culture, re-entering after years away, or simply moving from one season to the next, change can stretch our faith and capacity in many ways. At MTI, we regularly meet workers in the middle of these transitions—and we are reminded again and again that God goes before, walks with, and follows after each one of them.
The prayer below is offered as a way to lift up those navigating the unknown. If you are going through a transition yourself, God will meet you where you are as you pray this over your present and future reality.
God of all seasons,
You see the ones who are packing, planning, and preparing.
You see the ones who are grieving what they have left behind.
You see the ones holding both excitement and fear in the same moment.
In every unknown, remind them that You are not uncertain.
In every delay or disappointment, be near. Make their feet steady and help them to focus their eyes on You. Remind them they are never alone.
Protect them. Give them courage. Surround them with peace. And may Your presence be their true home, wherever they go.
Amen.
Psalm 32:8 – I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
