IRA Charitable Donations (QCD)

Thank you for your interest in supporting Mission Training International (MTI) through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA). An IRA charitable distribution allows eligible donors to support MTI directly from their IRA while potentially receiving favorable tax treatment.

    • Donors must be age 70½ or older at the time of the distribution.

    • Gifts must be made directly from your IRA custodian to MTI.

    • IRA charitable distributions cannot be made through Donor-Advised Funds, private foundations, or supporting organizations.

    We encourage you to consult with your financial or tax advisor to determine whether this giving option is appropriate for your situation.

    1. Contact your IRA custodian and request a Qualified Charitable Distribution.

    2. Instruct your custodian to issue a check payable to:
      Mission Training International

    3. The check may be mailed directly to MTI or sent to you for forwarding.

    Important: The check must be payable to Mission Training International. Checks made payable to the donor are not eligible as IRA charitable distributions.

  • To help ensure your QCD is properly credited and acknowledged, please email donations@mti.org once your distribution has been initiated with the following information:

    • Donor Name(s) or Fund Name

    • IRA Custodian/Financial Institution

    • Distribution Amount

    • Estimated Distribution Date

    • Gift Designation (if applicable)

    • Any additional information included with the distribution

    Please note IRA custodians may not always include the donor’s name or other identifying information with the distribution. Notifying MTI in advance helps us properly identify, credit, and acknowledge your gift.

  • MTI will send you a written acknowledgment confirming receipt of your gift. No goods or services will be provided in exchange for your contribution.
